Pen Women Edit, Contribute to Anthology: The Brave

The Brave: A Collection of Poetry and Prose, containing works by CNY Branch Pen Women and nearly fifty other contributors, will be released shortly after Veteran's Day. Pen Woman Rachael Ikins is one of two editors of the anthology published by Clare Songbirds Publishing House.

In addition to Ikins, who served as both editor and contributor, the work of other Pen Women authors and family included in this anthology are Judith McGinn and her son Seamus (shown on the cover); Joan Applebaum who contributed art and writing and her son Ben Applebaum (photography); Katie Turner and her husband Ralph, (on the cover), Janet Fagal, (parents on the cover), and Maureen McCarthy.

On Veteran’s Day this year, book project creator Laura Williams French will be featured live on the show “Bridge St”at 10:00 a.m. on News Channel 9.

A book launch will be held at Canastota Library, Center St, Canastota NY (just off thruway exit 31) on November 18th, starting at 6:00 pm. Books will be available for signing at the launch, and visitors will have an opportunity to meet many of the authors.
